Technical innovation competition

The National Agricultural Mechanisation Fair offers its exhibitors the Technical Novelty Competition. The initiative is part of a specific area of enhancing technical and technological innovation, in the name of increasing efficiency and sustainability of the equipment for working the land in mountain, plain and hill contexts. The proposed innovations will be examined by a technical commission set up specifically for the occasion. On the basis of the documentation provided by the manufacturer and in application of the Competition regulations, the Commission will award the winners. The prizes consist in the recognition of the title of "Technical Innovation" or "Technical Mention".

AWARDS

The awards ceremony for the 2025 Technical Innovations Competition of the 41st edition of MAG - The Farmer Fair took place on Wednesday 19 February at 6.00 pm in Savigliano at the Milanollo Theater (Piazza Casimiro Turletti, 7).

During the evening, the winning innovations of this edition were presented.

We remind you that two types of prizes were awarded: Novelty or Technical Mention.

Technical news

Innovation: "Newton" fruit thinner

Company: Borio Srl

Technical reason:

The Technical Novelty consists of an innovative system that allows the thinning of the fruit during the swelling phase. This result is achieved through a mechanism that detaches the fruit precisely and effectively, carrying out the operation during a rapid passage within the row, thus guaranteeing efficiency and time savings.

Innovation: CR-E 16-2 + RC 3075

Company: Dragone Srl - Black Shire srl

Technical reason:

The Technical Innovation was awarded for the completely innovative application of autonomous driving and electrical power technologies to operating machines in the wine sector. This solution represents a significant step forward, combining sustainability and efficiency to meet the needs of precision and environmental respect in agricultural operations in a viticultural environment.

Innovation: Drago GT corn header with rake

Company: Olimac Srl

Technical reason:

The Technical Novelty consists of an innovative system for swathing the waste product generated by the work of the header. This solution eliminates the need for an additional passage with a rake, thus significantly reducing energy consumption. Furthermore, it improves the quality of the product, limiting the number of processes.

Innovation: Self-levelling for quads

Company: Rocca Albino

Technical reason: The Technical Innovation was awarded for the introduction of an innovative system that makes the suspensions of a quad self-levelling. Thanks to the use of pneumatic bearings, which replace traditional springs, it is possible to adjust the height of the suspension independently, guaranteeing an optimal set-up even in the presence of slopes, improving stability and safety.

Innovation: Automatic milking system on parallel parlor TDM AFIMILK SYNERGY

Company: TDM Total Dairy Management

Technical reason:

The Technical Innovation was awarded for an innovative milking system that allows 6 or 7 animals to be milked at the same time in rooms with a minimum size of 18 x 18 metres. This system, designed to optimize space, does not require modifications to the walls of the milking parlor, offering a simple and quick installation without compromising operational efficiency.

Technical reason:

The technical mention was awarded thanks to the adoption of advanced technologies for the automatic detection of spraying areas, applied to innovative machines for the treatment of suckers. This approach allows you to optimize operational efficiency, ensuring targeted distribution and significantly reducing the use of chemical products, with benefits for the environment.

Innovation:

Willingly towed grape harvester - Pellenc 8050

Technical motivation: The technical mention was awarded for the integration of a wide range of advanced technologies applied to the machine presented. In particular, the positioning of the wheels and the sophisticated management software allow respectively to improve overall stability and to monitor and control numerous operating parameters in real time.

The technical mention was awarded for the significant expansion of the intended uses of specialist tractors with fully electric traction. These vehicles, traditionally limited to light applications, now stand out for greater versatility, opening up new operational possibilities while maintaining a sustainable and environmentally friendly approach.

Microforst pto - Forestry mulcher for tractors with 30-60 HP

Technical reason:

The Technical Mention was awarded to a small forestry mulcher, designed to operate effectively with low-power tractors. This solution allows forestry mulching operations to be extended to less powerful vehicles, maintaining high performance and facilitating access to difficult terrain or particularly narrow uncultivated spaces.
